AMERICANS ANSWERING HOW TO MAKE THEIR MONEY

Talking about money with others can be not easy. However, we all want to listen to advice to make more money.
Therefore, reporter Christine Kopaczewski decided to ask the Americans she met about how to make more money. Although some people stare uncomfortably, sometimes glaring and smiling awkwardly, there are still people who are open to interesting answers. After a week-long poll, she drew seven most typical answers.
The poll revealed surprisingly many Americans are optimistic. They have a strong belief that if you do your favorite work very hard and persevere, you will eventually be rewarded as a financial reward.
“You can find an intersection where you are doing what you love, but it’s also something that society is willing to pay for. This exists,” said Alex, a professional actor. Meanwhile, others feel that if you are willing to devote yourself to the work you love in the long run, you will eventually get a raise.
Go ahead to seize the opportunity
“Show your value in the company, then ask for a raise. Learn the skills that help you become critical to the success of the team and prove you can handle them,” Donna, one HR director suggested.
You can volunteer to manage the company’s Instagram and Twitter pages. A prospective mother who is about to take maternity leave in the office is an opportunity for you to offer to take part in her absence. There are countless ways you can express and enhance your value.
Overtime when possible
Many Americans that Business Insider reporter has had a stable job but worked hard for more. Cait, a teacher who takes dogs for walks in the evenings and weekends. Anna, a data analyst, accepts childcare when possible. Geneva, a Zumba nurse who teaches on Thursday and Saturday mornings every week.
The key for them to accept part-time jobs is to choose the right job. “It was a gym session, stress reduction and I made some extra money,” Geneva said of teaching Zumba. “I love dogs but I don’t have time to raise a dog for myself. By walking the dog, I can interact with them without being responsible full time and making money,” Cait said.
